2020Expo NewsPress Releases

After its first four great years at the Panthers Penrith, the increased demands for residential development on the Panthers site has meant a new home for the National Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo was needed. The Expo is being staged from Friday 9th April to Sunday 11th April 2021 at the Sydney Dragway.

Conveniently located at Ferrers Road, the move to the new Sydney Dragway has been warmly welcomed by exhibitors who appreciate the many benefits of the site. Benefits include 8.4 hectares of flat, all-weather asphalt surface, easy access to power and other infrastructure, expansive car parking, a great machinery demonstration site and indoor pavilion facilities of a similar size and configuration as those at Penrith.

Expo manager Marti Zivkovich said, “we have had a fantastic response from our sponsors and exhibitors to the Sydney Dragway. This is a great chance to adopt a new improved and fresh look to what is already Australia’s most successful earthmoving Expo to accommodate the growing number of exhibitors and the need for larger sites to exhibit machinery and services”

Huge area for bigger exhibits

Expansive free parking areas are adjacent to the Expo site, with those people not up to a short walk to the entrance can catch the non-stop shuttle service.

Exhibitors will fully appreciate the 24-hour bump-in bump-out facility, together with excellent outdoor lighting and security which will enable them to quickly move their equipment and exhibition structures in and out in the most efficient manner.

“We are particularly pleased that we now have a very large Expo area of 84,000 square metres which is large enough to accommodate the demands of many exhibitors who are looking to expand their stand space compared with previous years. Exhibitors who have taken indoor stands previously are also pleased to see we have the same area in the entry pavilion at the Dragway.

We are particularly pleased with the fact we are no longer reliant on the whims of the weather as far as the challenge of getting equipment bogged or damaging surfaces in the event of wet weather,” Marti said.

Operators Challenges

Also returning for this year’s Diesel Dirt & Turf Expo is the “operators challenge”. This popular event has become a real crowd pleaser with any operator being able to enter the excavator or loader challenge with the chance to win big cash prize. Sessions are run every day and visitors enjoy watching the fierce competition and the chance to win the prestigious trophy that comes with the prize money.

The Pickles auction has become a popular part of Diesel Dirt& Turf and again this year there will be a huge range of gear on offer.

Plenty of accommodation

Accommodation for exhibitors and visitors throughout the three-day event is available, with numerous hotels within easy reach of the Expo site. Accommodation venues will also have regular shuttle services to the Expo.

Back for 2020 is Little Big Rigs, music entertainment, licensed bar and facilities.
